Empowering children impacted by illness—their own or a loved one’s—to build confidence, understanding, and hope through creativity, clarity, and connection.

Our Mission
Lovia Project equips children impacted by illness—their own or a loved one’s—to transform fear of the unknown into strength and self-belief through clear information, creative expression, and supportive community.
Children deserve age-appropriate understanding when illness enters s their lives. Creative expression builds confidence and gives voice to feelings that are hard to name. Community reminds young people they are not alone.
Even in uncertain seasons, strength can grow.

Our Story
Lovia Project was created from lived experience.
As a child, my mother's life was tethered to a dialysis machine. I remember feeling small in a world that suddenly felt enormous and unfamiliar, trying to understand words and worries far too big for me.
There were no clear explanations. No safe place to ask questions. Mostly, there was fear — the quiet kind that comes from not understanding.
Years later, I watched my mother begin dialysis again and saw my nieces walking a similar path. I realized how deeply children are affected when illness enters a family.
Lovia Project was created so no child has to sit in that quiet confusion.
Named in honor of my mother, Maclovia, this organization exists so children can ask questions, find clarity, and build strength — even when life feels overwhelming.
